Ever since I was a little girl, I've known I've wanted to collect dolls. When I was still quite young,
my father gave me as a gift a book on collecting Barbie. I was immediately entranced with the beautiful
costumes and interesting dolls contained within its pages. They were so different to me, than my much beloved,
but blond tan grinning Barbie's of my youth.
Like most little girls, eventually I put away my Barbies, but hoped one day to return to dolls. It
was until 1998 when a chance re-encounter with anime also introduced me to the wonderful
world of Jenny and Licca. For several months, I resisted the beautiful castle dolls I saw on eBay.
In 1999, I made my first trip to Japan and visited Licca's Castle. Upon seeing the time put into
creating each doll and all the beautiful Takara dolls in person for my first time, I was completely hooked.
In August of 1999, I was given the opportunity to help start Biscuit's Club
along with my friends Helene Vrot and Lenore Garder. I'm proud of how the club has grown and all the interesting and fun times I have had there. as well as the help we've received from additional Founders Marsh Matulionis, Susan Khatri, and Gina Lopolo. I've met so many other wonderful doll collectors who have taught me so much and who I hope I've been able to impart some knowledge to as well.
